🎓 Eligibility Criteria for UPPC Registration
To obtain a Pharmacist Registration Certificate (Green Card / Smart Card) from the Uttar Pradesh Pharmacy Council, applicants must satisfy the following statutory conditions under Section 32(2) of the Pharmacy Act, 1948:
- Academic Qualification: Candidate must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), or Pharm.D from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 for the passing year.
- Mandatory Practical Training (500 Hours): For D.Pharm candidates, successful completion of 500 hours (not less than 3 months) of practical hospital/dispensary training under a Registered Pharmacist in a Govt / District Hospital or PCI-approved institution is strictly required. Training certificate must be in Form-III (Appendix-E).
- Age Limit: Applicant must have attained the age of 18 years on or before the date of application.
- Domicile / Residence: Candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh (possessing a valid UP Domicile Certificate issued within the last 6 months) OR must have completed their pharmacy education from an approved institution located within Uttar Pradesh.
- Affiliation Verification: The candidate’s college must have had valid PCI approval for the specific academic session in which the candidate was enrolled.
